English: The Penang High Court and its surroundings. Located at the junction between Farquhar St., Light St., and Pitt. St., the Penang High Court was founded in 1808 to concern with legal affairs in the then newly established Penang Residency in the Straits Settlements. Despite losing its prominence after Singapore's establishment as the Straits Settlements' new capital, the High Court remains an important site on establishing modern-Malaya's judiciary system. Current building was constructed in 1903.
Bahasa Melayu: Makhamah Tinggi Pulau Pinang yang terletak di kawasan yang dikelilingi Lbh. Farquhar, Lbh. Light, dan Jln. Masjid Kapitan Keling di Pulau Pinang, diasaskan pada tahun 1808 sebagai petunjuk utama sistem perundangan di Pulau Pinang apabila Pulau Pinang menjadi sebahagian dalam lingkungan kawasan Empayar British. Oleh itu, Makhamah Tinggi Pulau Pinang pernah diberikan gelaran "Tempat kelahiran sistem kehakiman moden" negara Malaysia.
