Description
English: In 2007 I visited Ranthambore and had a good sighting. Since then my interest for tigers was growing day by day. However, due to constraints, I was not getting chance. In 2013, I decided to visit National Parks/tiger reserves not only for tigers but to be with the nature. My gypsy driver was Mr. Baghel who was working with Kipling's Court resort of MP Govt. He appeared to be more knowledgeable than the guide. After a drive of about 30 minutes he stopped to ensure that he heard a warning call. Soon he got the confirmation that it was a deer's warning call. So he decided to wait. After a few minutes he was firm that the movement of the carnivore was towards us. There was pin drop silence in the vehicle before the silence was broken by Baghel's whispering. " There it comes, Sir. It is huge male." I ran my eye towards the direction from where we had heard the call. I could not see anything till it reached almost 400 meters . It was walking lazily towards us. Baghel signalled me to take as many photo as I could before it vanishes. The tiger walked cross the road fearlessly and in the meantime I had clicked a few shots. Though, I found it difficult to shoot from about 100 meters, I went on clicking. I was lucky as told by Baghel the driver that I had a sighting in the first visit itself. As we went back, Baghel reported the sighting to Sh. S K Singh, the Manager of Kipling's Court who requested me to share the photo for displaying it in the resort.
