Summary

edit
Description
English: Pendant in the shape of a dragon Tomb of the King of Chu Shizi Mountain Xuzhou Jiangsu Xhou dynasty Warring States Period (475-221 BCE). With a fish-like tail, this dragon pendant has a crested head turning backward and a curved body. It is covered with small scale-like patterns on both sides and has a hole in its back for thread suspension. Given that this dragon shows a typical style of Warring States-Period jade carvings, it is another example that reflects the widespread fascination with rare antique jades among the Han elite.
Date 2nd century BCE
