Summary
editDescriptionPenguin Travel bus, Falkland Islands (cropped and rotated).jpg |
English: Penguin Travel's Routemaster bus RML2593 "Bessie" (reg. F 124 G), seen here in Stanley, Falkland Islands, where it's used for their London Vintage Double Decker City Tour around the capital for the Falkland Island Company (Penguin Travel being their tourism division). The title is apt, as it was built in 1966, and only ever worked in London (unlike of a lot of the other second-hand Routemasters). Indeed, it was one of the last Routemasters working on London route service, having been latterly owned by London General into the summer of 2005, before being bought by the FIC at the end of the year. |
