| Description |
Slovenčina: Štefan Morávka, narodený 22.8.1911 v Hajnej Novej Vsi. Od 1.9.1934 nastúpil ako žandár k výkonu služby do Bratislavy. Počas Slovenského národného povstania pôsobil na žandárskej stanici na Štrbskom Plese kde spoluorganizoval vytvorenie odbojovej skupiny. 23.9.1944 sa táto skupina pridala k partizánskemu oddielu Vysoké Tatry. Padol v boji s nemeckými vojakmi 14.1.1945 na Grúniku pod Kriváňom. Pochovaný je na Štrbskom Plese spolu s Jánom Rašom. V roku 1946 bol povýšený do hodnosti kapitána, vyznamenaný Československým vojnovým krížom a Radom SNP 1. triedy, in memoriam. Jeho meno nesie chata pri Popradskom plese vo Vysokých Tatrách. |
