Situated in the historic Red Fort, the museum exhibits objects that date to the Mughal period. On view are manuscripts and firmans' that demonstrate the fine art of calligraphy. Also on view are paintings, textiles and costumes. One section concentrates on relics of the 1857 war (First War of Independence) like maps and weapons. Archaeological Museum Red Fort. At Purana Qila, various excavations were carried out by the Archaeological Survey of India. In 1955, excavations were carried out and again the workings began from 1969 to 1973. Archaeological Museum, New Delhi displays the materials that were excavated from the site. From the various displays and exhibits of the excavations, you can get to know various interesting facts about the early settlement. You can find articles that date back to 1000 BC.

The displays at Archaeological Museum, New Delhi are kept maintaining a sequence order. The articles are represented by Painted Grey ware. The displays are kept in a definite sequence. You can find the articles from Mauryan to Mughal through Sunga, Kushana, Gupta, Rajput and Sultanate periods.
This picture i was captured at 2017 in rainy weather. when i was just entered through the first gate of red fort i was seen this beautiful view at front of my eyes with some humans and some flying birds in the sky, some birds sitting on the green grass and the historical man-,made architecture.So i start clicking top angle shot.In this shot i want show you the power of Mughal Army (ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM) and the memorable moments inside this museum.
