日本語: アミ族馬蘭社蕃人正裝。臺東の近郊，馬蘭社と卑南社はーはアミ族、一はパイワン族であるが相接して對峙して居る。服裝等の上では殆ど區別つかない程混淆して居る。花蓮港より汽車に乘つて南下し，薄々附近の所謂南勢アミ，瑞穗附近の秀姑アミを見た眼には臺東廳界に入つて急に一變し，この附近のアミ族を卑南アミと稱する理由を見出すのである。刺繡の美事なる，銀の首飾，戴いた帽子の物々しさ，卑南蕃と共に全島蕃族中一番華々しい姿であらう。（宮本延人）
