| Description |
English: Peper Harow House. This 18C house was built in 1765-8, designed by Sir William Chambers. The porch was added in 1843 and the third storey in 1913. During WWII Peper Harow House was requisitioned as HQ for the Canadian Army. After the war Peper Harow became an Approved School and then, in the 1970s, a therapeutic centre for the residential care of troubled youngsters. Today Peper Harow is a private residential estate not open to the public. See http://www.peperharow.info/index.htm |
