English: Name by Samuel de Champlain in 1607, Perce Rock is a massive limestone and shale formation of 433 metres long, 90 metres wide and 88 metres high with an arch at one end 15 metres high . Situated in the town of Perce Quebec, it can be accessed by foot at low tide by a sandbar to it's southwest. The rock has over 150 species of fossils. It is also a bird colony to many species such as snowy gannets, silvery gulls, black cormorants etc.
