I've skied a lot of places, but Big Sky in Montana has to be one of my all time favorites. The Colorado Rockies are my stomping grounds, so I've got a sense of "big", but this place is "BIG"! Lone Mountain towers over you even after riding two lifts, and its omnipresent no matter where you are on the mountain or in the village. Its epic. Oh and the terrain/snow/people are awesome too. I was there last week for a nerdy conference and despite no snow and 50 degree weather, the skiing still rocked. Amazing spring day, spent half of it just skiing in my bibs. Can't beat that! This is one of me (self portrait, not selfie) perched on top of Lone Mountain, scoping out the trails below. Love it up there.
