Friedrich Graf Lanjus von Wellenburg (* Pola (Pula, Istrien), 9. 11. 1888; † Schloß Haindorf a. Kamp (N.Ö.), 28. 3. 1940), Die blühenden Geschlechter des österreichischen Uradels, in Jahrbuch der Vereinigung katholischer Edelleute in Österreich, Tyrolia, Innsbruck 1931, S. 69 – 77: „Diesem Aufsatze sind 7 Wappentafeln beigegeben, welche von Hofrat Felix Freiherrn von Hasslinger – Mitglied der Landesgruppe Wien und N.-Ö. der V.K.E.I.Ö. – entworfen und ausgeführt wurden. Alle Wappen sind so dargestellt, wie sie um 1350 tatsächlich geführt wurden, also im gotischen Stile, Dreieckschilde, Kübelhelme ohne Helmkronen, mit schlichten Helmdecken. Da das Wesen des Wappens die Farbe ist, ein Farbendruck jedoch der hohen Kosten wegen undurchführbar erschien, wurden die Metalle und Tinkturen durch die allerdings erst im 17. Jahrhundert aufgekommenen und im 18. Jahrhundert allgemein üblich gewordenen Schraffierungen ersetzt. Hiebei werden von den Metallen dargestellt: Gold = punktiert, Silber = weiß, und von den Farben: Rot = senkrecht, Blau = waagrecht, Grün = schrägrechts schraffiert.“ |
