| Description |
English: Perseverance Works, Dewsbury Road, Elland. This is the name on the OS 1:2500 map of 1907, with 'Cotton and Woollen' in brackets. 'Works' probably indicates that it was a factory, ie carrying out all or most of the stages of manufacturing products. Note the tow rows of tie bars near the top, to prevent the walls from leaning outwards. Behind the road sign on the right is a glimpse of Broad Lea Mill being converted to apartments. |
