A Petőfi dagerrotip a szájhagyomány szerint Strelisky Lipót fotográfus műve. Visszaemlékezések szerint Egressy Gábor színész, aki fotóamatőrködött többek között lefényképezte színésztársát, Petőfit is. Strelisky Lipót a korai magyar fotográfia jelentős alakja volt.
