Français : 1ER JUILLET 1942 :

Émission en Indochine du premier timbre à l'effigie du maréchal Pétain (6 cts). Carte maximum Pétain.

D'autres valeurs seront émises ultérieurement : 1 ct, 3 cts, 10 cts et 40 cts en deux nuances (Y&T Indochine Nos 243/248 ). La plupart existent avec plusieurs dentelures.

Il y a eu des "faux pour servir" pour les valeurs 6 cts, 10 cts et 40 cts de novembre 1943 à avril 1944. Le 6 centimes est reconnaissable au chiffre 6 qui est droit et touche le bord supérieur dans les authentiques et est légèrement penché et ne touche pas le bord dans les faux. Pour les 10 et 40 cts, la différence se voit à la forme de la francisque avec de belles courbes dans les originaux et quasi rectangulaire dans les faux.
