Bahasa Indonesia: Disaat banyak orang memilih pekerjaan menjadi buruh pabrik. Hal berbeda dilakukan warga Desa Durung Bedug Kabupaten Sidoarjo Jawa timur.
Usianya sudah lebih dari setengah abad itu memilih menjadi petani Sayur. Profesi ini Ia jalani sudah puluhan tahun. Asam garam menjadi petani Sayur sudah dilakoninya. Dengan lahan seluas 400 meter persegi. Marto dan istrinya menanami lahan sawahnya dengan beragam sayuran, mulai dari Kenikir, Sawi dan Kangkung. Setiap satu bulan sekali mereka panen. Zaman sekarang, tidak banyak sosok seperti pak marto dan warga Desa Durung Bedug lainnya yang memilih menjadi petani. Kondisi saat ini profesi bertani mulai banyak ditinggalkan. Karena dianggap kurang menguntungkan. Padahal bila dikelola dengan baik, hasil lumayan, lebih dari cukup. Beliau ini adalah pejuang ketahanan pangan kabupaten Sidoarjo. Puluhan tahun ikut menjaga ketahanan pangan. Semangatnya bertani bisa menjadi contoh generasi muda yang lainnya |
