English: Northward at Peterborough North, with a B1 4-6-0 on empty stock. View northward from the Down platform, towards Grantham and the North on the ECML, also Boston, Grimsby etc. on the ex-GN 'Loop line; off to the left, are the ex-Midland lines to Melton Mowbray etc. and Sutton Bridge on the ex-M&GN. The train approaching with Thompson B1 No. 61070 (built 9/46, withdrawn 8/65) will be a stopping train to King's Cross. The ex-GN J52 0-6-0 saddle-tank on the left (No. 68828) is a station pilot. |
