Title
"Portrait of a Lady, perhaps Anne Marie Martinozzi, Princesse de Conti (1637-1672)"
Description
English: Portrait thought to be Anne Marie Martinozzi (1637-1672), but is probably a depiction of Madame de Montespan (1640-1707) (see images bolow).
"The traditional identification of the sitter is tentatively confirmed by comparison with the engraving by Nicolas Regnesson after Beaubrun. Anne Marie was the daughter of Count Martinozzi and Laura Margaret, the eldest sister of Cardinal Mazarin. She married Armand, prince de Conti, younger brother of the Grand Condé."
