Description
English: Pfaffenstein: semi-circular rampart, dating to the Bronze Age, on the western side of the Pfaffenstein.
Deutsch: Pfaffenstein: Blick auf den bronzezeitlichen Wall am westlichen Fuß des Pfaffensteins. Das Plateau des Pfaffensteins war bereits vor etwa 3000 Jahren besiedelt. Archäologische Ausgrabungen förderten neben steinzeitlichen auch bronzezeitliche Funde aus der Lausitzer Kultur zu Tage. Der etwa 200 Meter lange Wall diente vermutlich dazu, den einzigen Zugang zum Plateau abzusperren und war von einem Graben umgeben. Archäologische Untersuchungen in den Jahren 1959 und 1961 ergaben ein Alter von etwa 3000 Jahren.
