Summary edit

Description
English: Philip Larkin Close, Hull. Off Inglemire Lane, close to its junction with Beverley High Road. It is named after the poet who lived in Hull from 1955 until his death 30 years later. In 2008, The Times judged Larkin the greatest British writer since 1945. He first moved to Hull from Belfast (see 596930), and initially lived at 789274. In 1974 he moved to 789316. Larkin worked as university librarian at 460207. Apart from a university building named after him this is, as far as I'm aware, the only memorial to him in his adopted city.
