Summary edit

Description

Pholiota adiposa (Batsch) P. Kumm.

Image location: Diamond and Crater Lake, Oregon, USA

Making the tentative ID for these based mostly on spore size. They were fairly small, ~ 5.0-6.0 X 3.5-4.8 microns. The reference notes that this species’ spores have “a minute apical pore”. Not sure one can say whether these have any apical pore. Didn’t save these.

Used references: The North American Species of Pholiota by Smith & Hessler.
