English: Pickardstown Folly Trying to describe this construction is going to be difficult - it looks like a cottage with no roof, real windows or doors, a hand-pump (water) in the front garden, and a selection of milestones collected from areas around Ireland (the places and the miles thereto are inaccurate). On closer inspection, the 'cottage' is just an ornamental wall, the pump unconnected, and the milepost pillars have been created in-situ, with someone carving the placenames on the north and south facets. Curious! |
