English: Test of various wood finishes: Varnishes, oils and waxes. The test pieces are maple wood and weigh 25 g on average. The edges are rounded to avoid weak spots in the finishes. After applying the finish the pieces were stored for four months. For testing I put them into water for several hours and continuously measured their weight to determine the water absorption. The test arose in the forum Fletcher’s Corner.
Wasseraufnahme) gemessen. Der Test entstand ursprünglich im Forum Fletcher’s Corner.
