English: OmniVision OV7120 1/3" 8-bit grayscale CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 640x480 pixels. This sensor uses an unusual architecture where all image processing (white-balance, brightness, contrast, colorspace conversion etc.) is implemented in the analog domain and only the final result is digitized. CMOS image sensors generally directly digitize the read pixel voltages and shift as much processing as possible to the digital domain.
