English: Piers of Marchwood Military Port seen across the River Test Looking from Mayflower Park. The ship on the right is RFA Largs Bay (L3006 - alternative landing ship logistics) which entered service in December 2006. Its vehicle deck can accommodate 24 Challenger tanks or 150 jeeps. The ship on the left is the ferry Hurst Point. Pontoons in the foreground, I suspect, are preparations for the Southampton Boat Show. |
