Summary
editDescriptionPillbox at Llanychaer, near Fishguard-Abergwaun - geograph.org.uk - 202433.jpg |
English: Pillbox at Llanychaer, near Fishguard/Abergwaun. This WW2 defence structure remains just outside the small village of Llanychaer. It's not the only one in Pembrokeshire: there were concerns about the possibility of a German attack on the mainland via southern Ireland. (In 1797 the French did land and briefly disrupt the area around Fishguard.) |
