So, the reason there weren't any photos from cake decorating last week was that it sucked. Big time. The teacher picked on me, the other kids (who are all older) were better than me, and I just hated every second of it. So we're skipping over that class (if I can ever be bothered attempting flower petals again I might take photos, but for now you will simply have to deal) and recapping the weekend's efforts in cake making instead. This is my mum's birthday cake. It's a pineapple upside down cake. The reason it's called an upside down cake will be apparent in the next photograph, when we turn it out of the tin and prepare it for serving. (On the right is some chocolate that I was melting for another project, but that's another story.) |
