Description |
English: Illustration from Northwest Magazine, February 1891 Caption on image: Seattle. View on front Street looking north from Occidental Square
Most of this is a reasonably accurate representation, but the building at far left is basically fictional but could be based on Elmer Fisher's original design for the building that would eventually become the Mutual Life Building. Also, no idea where the term "Occidental Square" came from; the point of view does appear possibly to be from the Occidental Block (a building). |

This building is presumably not an accurate representation of anything real. In reality, the Mutual Life Building was built here.

The Colman Building that, despite the liberties 19th century lithographers often took in adding unbuilt buildings in their drawings, is still depicted in its stunted 2-story form.
