Pitcher Plant. Nepenthes. Also locally known as "Monkey Cup". Nepenthes are herbaceous non-woody plants which generally grow as long twining vines with pitchers. The pitchers are actually highly specialized leaves that act as passive pitfall traps (for little insects).
