Description

Pitcher Plant. Nepenthes. Also locally known as "Monkey Cup".

Nepenthes are herbaceous non-woody plants which generally grow as long twining vines with pitchers. The pitchers are actually highly specialized leaves that act as passive pitfall traps (for little insects).

Taken Aug 26, 2007 at Pitcher Plant & Wild Orchid Garden situated at 10th Mile Kota Padawan, Kuching, Sarawak.
