Description
Español: En la placa aparece inscrita la siguiente leyenda: "El Ayuntamiento de Colmenar de Oreja Dedica este humilde recuerdo a su hijo predilecto Dn. U. Checa En prueba de gratitud por sus obras en la Iglesia Año de 1897".

Checa pintó los dos grandes murales del presbiterio de la iglesia entre los meses de agosto y septiembre de 1897 y costeó todos los gastos de andamiajes, preparaciones, pinturas, etc. En octubre de ese mismo año, el cura, don Pedro Caramazana, inauguró los murales con una solemne misa que concelebró con siete curas de los pueblos de alrededor y a la que asistió todo el pueblo. El Alcalde, don José Freire Sánchez, en nombre del Ayuntamiento y de Colmenar de Oreja, le entregó esta placa.
