Summary edit

Description From the 2nd floor deck of the Tour Eiffel. Officially given its name in 1877 to commemorate the Battle of Trocadero in Spain. The building that sits here now, the Palais de Chaillot, was built for the Exposition Internationale of 1937. The architects were Louis-Hippolyte Boileau, Jacques Carlu and Léon Azéma. It sits on the original foundations of the previous building, the Palais du Trocadero, which was built for the 1878 World's Fair.
