English: Nineteenth-century engraving of a plague doctor, based on the frontispiece of Jean-Jacques Manget, Traité de la peste: recueilli des meilleurs auteurs anciens et modernes, et enrichi de remarques et observations théoriques et pratiques : avec une table très ample des matières (Geneva: Philippe Planche, 1721). In the source it is used to illustrate an article on The Plague of Nimèguen, hence the caption.
