Description

A plan of the castle of Mont Orgueil, on the Island of Jersey, in the English Channel. This original pen and ink sketch is dated 1897.

Annotations shown in red correlate to additions to the castle from 1690. While, annotations in black correspond to the additions of 1755.

Part of a fonds that was packed up in London, England by Sir Gilbert Parker in 1918. He left the papers to his brother, Harry Parker, and they were shipped to the USA by Harry's daughter, Kathleen.

Donated by Morton Marley in March 2017.
