Español: La barrilla (Mesembryanthemum crystallinum L.) crece en zonas costeras de la isla de El Hierro. La planta se usó para la obtención de sosa y sus semillas fueron utilizadas por los aborígenes de las islas Canarias, para la elaboración de gofio. Fotografía tomada en el oeste de El Hierro, cerca de la playa de El Verodal.
