Description
English: Plaque about Seaforth McKenzie on the Rockingham Waterfront Pioneer Rotary Walk in Rockingham, Western Australia. It reads,

"McKenzie: Seaforth

Arrived in Rockingham about 1914. He squatted on Penguin Island after the Government resumed Garden Island. Penguin Island was gazetted a reserve in 1918 and McKenzie was granted the lease. He transformed the caves into holiday accommodation and was crowned "King of Island" by many visitors. Involved with sea scouts he was invested as a lone scout. He came to the mainland in 1926 and built a house and ship on Mersey Point. In 1932, he returned to his family in New Zealand."
