Oeuvre d'art de Truong Chanh Trung

Bronze sur socle de granit

L'oeuvre d'art représente la mission des premières communautés religieuses hospitalières installées au Québec. Devant la croix, une religieuse, le coeur et les bras grands ouverts, et un religieux agenouillé, soutiennent un vieillard. L'artiste a choisi d'illustrer la compassion par la croix, qui en est le symbole ultime, et par l'attitude corporelle et l'expression du visage des deux religieux, lesquels semblent faire Un avec la souffrance.
