Français : Plaque dans le parc Monceau près de la lanterne japonaise offerte par le Japon. Texte : « Le pacte d’amitié entre les villes de Paris et de Tokyo a été scellé le 14 juillet 1982 par Monsieur Jacques Chirac maire de Paris et Monsieur Shun Ichi Suzuki gouverneur de Tokyo. Cette lanterne construite en 1786 pour le dixième Shogun Ieharu fut gardée au temple Kan ei de Ueno bâti pour le Shogun Tokugawa dont le règne se situa à l’époque de Edo (1605-1867). Cette oeuvre d’art historique a été offerte pour symboliser l’éternelle amitié entre les deux capitales. Juin 1986 ».
