Español: Placa conmemorativa en mármol dedicada a Tomás de Sostoa y Achúcarro (1786-1849) en la calle Héroe de Sostoa, Málaga, España. En la placa se lee el siguiente texto: «Brigadier / don Tomás de Sostoa y Achúcarro / 1786-1849 / Hijo ilustre de Montevideo / Morador de Málaga / Su heroismo añadió gloria / a la Armada española». La placa fue inaugurada en diciembre de 1930, al ser rebautizada la calle donde se encuentra con el nombre de calle Héroe de Sostoa a propuesta del Consulado de Uruguay en homenaje a la destacada participación de Tomás de Sostoa y Achúcarro en la batalla de Tamames (1808). Hasta entonces, la calle Héroe de Sostoa había sido conocida como calle de María Guerrero.[1] |
