Description
Español: Vista del emplazamiento de la placa conmemorativa en forma de mosaico cerámico (azulejo), firmado por Lola Chamizo, dedicada al desaparecido cine Monumental, en la calle Mendoza Tenorio, esquina con la calle José Tallavi, Ciudad Jardín, Málaga, España. En la placa, junto al emblema de la Junta de Andalucía y al de la asociación de vecinos Mangas Verdes, se lee: «Cine Monumental / En 1956, D. Antonio Chacón compró una / sala que se usaba para teatro y fiestas y la / transformó en un cine al que llamó CINE / MONUMENTAL 26 / Se proyectaban dos películas diarias en / cinco sesiones y una más en la matinal de / los domingos. / En los año 80 coincidiendo con la crisis / que hubo en el cine en general, / este cine se / vendió para construir un edificio de / viviendas que es lo que hay en la / actualidad».
