English: A plate engraved for the Macklin Bible after a specially-commissioned painting by Philippe Jacques De Loutherbourg. Photographed from the Bowyer Bible, Bolton, England. Bowyer Bible 28.3601. Christ Stills the Storm. Matthew 8:23, 26. Christ standing in a boat during a storm, looking up to the heavens as the sky begins to clear at right. 1792. Inscriptions: Lettered below image with title, bible reference, production detail: "P. J. De Loutherbourg Pinxt.", "W. Bromley Sculpt." and publication line: "London, Publish'd Sepr. 8th. 1792 by Thos. Macklin, Fleet Street". Print made by William Bromley. Dimensions: Height: 480 millimetres; width: 395 millimetres.
