English: A plate engraved for the Macklin Bible after a specially-commissioned painting by Philippe Jacques De Loutherbourg. Photographed from the Bowyer Bible, Bolton, England. Bowyer Bible 43.6005. The Shipwreck of St Paul. Shipwreck with figures clinging to driftwood, Paul in the centre reaching up to the heavens (Acts 27:43-44). 1794. Inscriptions: Lettered below image with title, bible reference, production detail: "P. I. De Loutherbourgh Pinxt.", "B. T. Pouncy Sculpt." and publication line: "London, Publish'd March 1st. 1794, by Thos. Macklin, Poets Gallery, Fleet Street". Print made by Benjamin Thomas Pouncy. Dimensions:
