Summary

Description
English: Platform 4, Waverley Station The hourly North Berwick service about to depart. Edinburgh lost most of its rail network to the idiotic car worshippers of the 1960s and the line to North Berwick, a short spur off the East Coast main line somehow survived. It nearly closed on several occasions in the 1980s. It is of course an extremely popular and busy service despite being beyond the means of many potential passengers. If only Midlothian was as lucky as the coastal strip of East Lothian.
