Plenário do Senado Federal durante sessão especial para a entrega da Comenda Abdias do Nascimento, instituída pela Casa para celebrar o Dia Nacional da Consciência Negra, relembrando a data de 20 de novembro quando morreu, em 1695, um dos principais líderes do movimento contra a escravização do povo negro, Zumbi dos Palmares.

Senador Paim e convidados repetem um trecho do poema de Alceu Collares: "O voto é tua única arma, põe o teu voto na mão".
