English: Castle of Saldaña’s 19th century picture (Palencia, Castile and León) from the South. There are two towers tribute carved with their vain and its four heights, a tall at the base, two intermediate and one tall on the fourth floor. Similarly shown including a construction that would correspond to the housing of the warden, according to a document of the 17TH century on the statements of the House of Infantado (file historic national (AHN).) Nobility Osuna, Frías, leg. 3.329-1): Fortress-hay in Saldaña a fortress with two large towers and in the midst of them a good building House fenced Barbican and strong wall although antiquity it already has uninhabitable.
The ascent to the castle which cut the second enclosure at the point where previously could be located the gateway to the upper platform of the castle wall also appreciates the same way.
Español: Plumilla del siglo XIX del castillo de Saldaña (Palencia, Castilla y León) desde el Sur. Se aprecian las dos torres del homenaje almenadas con sus vanos y sus cuatro alturas, una de gran altura en la base, dos intermedias y una de gran altura en el cuarto piso. Del mismo modo se aprecia entre ellas una construcción que se correspondería con la vivienda del alcaide, según reza en un documento del siglo XVII sobre los estados de la Casa del Infantado (Archivo Histórico Nacional (AHN). Nobleza Osuna, Frías, leg. 3.329-1.): Fortaleza.- Hay en Saldaña una fortaleza con dos torres grandes y en medio de ellas una casa de buen edificio cercada de barbacana y muralla fuerte aunque la antigüedad la tiene ya inhabitable.
Del mismo modo se aprecia también la subida al castillo que corta la muralla del segundo recinto en el punto donde anteriormente pudo estar ubicada la puerta de acceso a la plataforma superior del castillo. |
