Description
Српски (ћирилица): На јужној страни Рудника, у долини Враћевшничке реке, изграђена је и 1431. живописана задужбина великог челника Радича Поступовића – манастир Враћевшница са црквом посвећеном св. Георгију. Први податак из турског времена потиче тек из 1579. и односи се на обнову разрушене Враћевшнице за време рудничког митрополита Диомидија. Поновно страдање доживљава 1682. Обновљена је из темеља 1737, за време игумана Михаила. Важан политички и културни центар за време I и II српског устанка, манастир свој коначни изглед добија 1860, у обнови коју је помогао кнез Милош. Једнобродна црква изведена је под утицајем споменика рашке школе. Олтарска апсида, засведена полукалотом, споља је петострана, а изнутра полукружна. Наос и припрата су наткривени полуобличастим сводом, док се изнад спољне припрате уздиже високо осмострано кубе. Фасаде су обложене тесаним блоковима ружичастог пешчара и украшене плитким пиластрима, између којих су слепе полукружне аркаде на богато профилисаним конзолама. Фриз аркадица тече дуж целе грађевине. Сачуван живопис из 1737. рад је групе зографа на челу са Андрејом Андрејевићем. Сликана декорација иконостасне преграде приписује се различитим ауторима из XVIII и XIX века. Једино је зограф Ставро оставио свој потпис 1754. на икони Богородице из највише зоне иконостаса.
English: Vracevsnica monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery in Vracevsnica, Gornji Milanovac, Serbia, built in 1428-1429 on the orders of Radic (fl. 1389-1441), a magnate in the service of Stefan Lazarevic and Djuradj Brankovic. The church is dedicated to Saint George.
