English: Robber flies of the species Pogonosoma ridingsi mating on my boot in a burned forest near the summit of Cerro Grande, Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico. This species is often found in burned areas. Thanks to Eric Fisher at BugGuide.net for identification and habitat information.
