Description
English: Pól Fríðrikur Joensen is a former football player, who mostly played for TB Tvøroyri, and current football manager for the Faroe Islands U17 national team (boys). He was also manager for FC Suðuroy in 2011 and 2012 until 22 May 2012. FC Suðuroy won the second best division in the 2011 season with 70 points, 9 points more than number two. They got promoted to the best division, but didn't manage to win any match after the ninth round. They did however have more luck in the 2012 Faroe Islands Cup, they made it to the semifinal, but Pól F. Joensen resigned after the 0-6 defeat against ÍF Fuglafjørður, only one day before the second semifinal match against Víkingur Gøta. Pól F. Joensen comes from Froðba, a small village east of Tvøroyri. He is grandson of the famous poet Poul F. Joensen (famous in the Faroes for his poems).
