English: Normandie-Niemen
Русский: В годы Великой Отечественной войны рядом с Полотняным Заводом располагался военный аэродром Муковнино. Здесь, с 22 марта дислоцировалась французская истребительная авиационная эскадрилья «Нормандия». 16 апреля 1943 года эскадрилья перебазировалась на аэродром Васильевское близ Мосальска. С 1 по 16 апреля эскадрилья «Нормандия» сделала 56 самолето-вылетов на перехват самолетов противника появлявшихся над нашей территорией и 27 самолето-вылетов она произвела для сопровождения бомбардировщиков действовавших по железным дорогам в районе Ельня, Смоленск, Рославль.(Архив МО, ф. 35, оп. 37057, д. 11, л. 126.) |
