Az Írószergyártó KTSZ a kezdetekben bejegyzett székhelyén, az ötödik kerületi Kálmán utcában működött, majd a belvárosi alagsori műhelyeket kinőve 1968-ban Pomázra, a Pest megyei városka újonnan létrejött ipartelepére költözött.[1] 1978-tól ICO Írószergyártó Szövetkezet lett a cég neve. 1992-től részvénytársaság. A jelenlegi (2019) teljes neve: ICO Író- és Irodaszereket Gyártó és Forgalmazó Zártkörűen Működő Részvénytársaság[2]
