| Description |
English: Pond on the Nottingham Canal This section of the Nottingham canal (south of Trowell) was almost dry in the late summer of 2008 except for this pond. According to a dog walker we passed on the path a number of volunteers had cleared the pond of algae only 3 or 4 days before, but as you can see the surface was again almost covered by a green scum - a family of moorhen was trying rather forlornly to feed through the algae. |
