Pongal (festival of harvest) celebration in Tamil Nadu, India. Pongal is celebrated by worshiping animals, tools and vehicles which are used in farming activities. Animals (bulls, cows, goats) are bathed, decorated with colour powders and get tied with neem leaves in the neck. Similarly vehicles & other tools are also washed and decorated. Finally during the puja they are worshiped and thanked as the companions of farmers.
